Describing the Scene
This photo was taken in an open field with telephone poles and a house in the background.
It’s an image of a woman on a ladder resting against the telephone wires. She hung her clothes on the wires.
To describe the scene, it looks like a small town with little technology.
In the picture, you can see birds flying in the background and a hamper of clothes to hang on the grass.
In the foreground there is grass, the telephone pole, and the woman on her ladder.
In the midground there is a few bushes, more telephone poles holding clothes, and trees.
In the background there is her house, clouds, and more telephone poles
In the upper part, there is the sky
In the lower part, there is grass
On the right, there is some small hills and trees
On the left, there is flat land
From above, you would see a bunch of her clothes likely in a fairly empty area
From below, you would see a bunch of her clothes and the sky
Impressions of the Scene
The things in the scene look as if they are relaxed and blowing in the breeze
The viewer’s attention is focused on the bright colors of the clothes and woman
The photo is vivid because the lighting is very good since you can see a high contrast between the clothes and the rest of the scene
The photo makes us feel happy because she looks carefree
The picture makes us think about how lucky we are to live in a place where we don't hang our clothes on telephone wires
It looks like there is no one else in the town
The photographer uses great composition to express the surroundings while still placing the focus where it should be
It seems to me that the woman has no help to hang her clothes, even though the clothes look like they may be for more than one person

Describing the Scene
This photo was taken in a lake
It’s an image of a man standing in a canoe in a lake that is geometric
To describe the scene, the man looks like he is trying to row his canoe but the water is dried up.
In the picture, you can see the man’s reflection in the water
In the foreground there is the dirt, and some of the triangles of water.
In the midground there is the man with one leg in his canoe and one leg out. His paddle is outside of the canoe and he is looking at the disappearing water.
In the background there is the trees and horizon
In the upper part, there is the clouds and the sky
In the lower part, there is pebbles and dried out dirt
On the right, there is the lake
On the left, there is the lake
From above, you would see a brig lake and a small man at the shore where the lake ends
From below, you would see the bottom of the man’s canoe
Impressions of the Scene
The things in the scene look as if they are shattered
The viewer’s attention is focused on the way the image was manipulated
The photo is expressive because the man looks confused and I think the image was created to express the photographer’s feelings
The photo makes us feel confused and somewhat nostalgic with the lighting and mood
The picture makes us think about the future and what the world will look like
The photographer uses light, faded colors to express a more sad mood
It looks like the river is in movement and it is cracking all the way across

Describing the Scene
This photo was taken in a studio in the 21st century, when enough editing software was available to create this effect
It’s an image of a teenager with his fist in his face
To describe the scene, it is a solid gray background with the subject center
In the picture, you can see a gray tee shirt, a gray background, and a boy with blonde hair
In the foreground there is the boy
In the background there is gray
From above, you would see his hair
From below, you would see his body
Impressions of the Scene
The fist in the scene look as if it is in motion and using a lot of force
The viewer’s attention is focused on the smushed face
The photo is expressive because it we feel that it could have multiple reactions because some people may not like it as much as others since it is a little odd.
The photo makes us feel uncomfortable because the boy looks uncomfortable and it is a weird composition
The picture makes us think about how we may feel sometimes when things don't go the way we had planned
It looks like his face is a whoopee cushion
The photographer uses a dark background to express a negative, darker mood
It seems to me that this boy is upset with himself
Picture 4
Describing the Scene
This photo was taken in Switzerland from an island of another island and the water surrounding it.
It’s an image of an island with a fish beneath it supporting it.
To describe the scene, the fish takes up the entire lake and the rest of the scene looks shrunk down in comparison to the fish
In the picture, you can see a boat on the lake that is much smaller than the fish
In the midground there is the depths of the lake
In the background there is the small house on the island
In the upper part, there is the sky
In the lower part, there is the water
From above, you would see just an island
From below, you would see just a big fish
Impressions of the Scene
The things in the scene look as if they are not proportionate on purpose
The viewer’s attention is focused on the fish and red housing
The photo is dark because it has a hidden meaning like the world does not see what meets the eye
The photo makes us feel impressed because the photo looks very well edited and it is very creative
The picture makes us think about the movie Jaws because in that movie, there is a big fish beneath the water.
It looks like the fish is angry, like he has no room to swim around
The photographer uses contrast to express the dark waters beneath the bright scene above the water
It seems to me that if the fish moved, the island would crumble beneath it
